Tractor Traders Experience Popularity Of John Deere Brand 04/02/2008 The Agricultural Engineers Association has reported that John Deere is the most popular brand in the UK in 2006, as sold by tractor traders. Tractor traders have found that John Deere tractors have held just over a quarter of the market as sold by tractor traders in 2006, and has possessed the leading position in the tractor market as sold by tractor traders for nearly ten years. An increase in sales for tractor traders has been suggested and this could be a result of a number of points. For example, rising prices of corn, in agricultural, food, and fuelling use has led to an increase in the sales of tractors by tractor traders. In 2006, many tractor traders experienced abundant sales, particularly in relation to the sales experienced by tractor traders in the previous year. The increase in the sales of tractor traders has led to many manufacturers experiencing higher numbers of sales. For example, New Holland tractors in 2006 experienced a growth in their sales by tractor traders. Newer brands stocked by tractor traders have entered as competition into the market. For example, Kubota, the manufacturer of smaller tractors of less that 30 horsepower had entered the running of o of the sales of tractor traders, claiming eighth position of market share in 2006. The smaller tractors sold by tractor traders which are manufactured by Kubota have proved popular due to their relative financial economy for farmers on smaller farms, and also because in cases Kubota tractors which are smaller than an average sized tractor are suited to smaller farms, as well as smaller agricultural tasks. Leading tractor manufacturer, Massey Ferguson, suffered a slight loss in tractor trader sales in 2006, despite holding second place to John Deere tractors in 2005. |
